Bill began his work at NIC as the Ahousaht First Nation Centre instructor over 20
years ago. He took over as instructor of NIC's Tofino and Ucluelet Centres a year
later and has continued to be a strong advocate for Aboriginal Education and a defender
of in-community programs. Bill is a skilled teacher who has helped many NIC students
in courses ranging from Fundamental Adult Basic Education to first-year Mathematics
and Biology. Bill's work has made NIC's Ucluelet Centre a vibrant learning community.
The Pacific Rim area is Bill's home. He raised his daughters there and has been instrumental
in many community projects including the opening and expansion of the Ucluelet Aquarium.
When he's not teaching, his creativity is flourishing with music and other artistic
expressions. Thank-you for continuing to have an impact on our students lives in Ucluelet
and beyond.
