Alison Bruderer, faculty
Alison Bruderer started her post-secondary education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned a BA in Psychology, and moved to the beautiful west coast for graduate school in 2008. She earned a PhD in Psychology at the University of British Columbia in 2014, and focused her studies on infant and child development. After relocating to Vancouver Island in 2016, she began teaching Psychology courses as a sessional instructor for NIC. In addition to teaching at the post-secondary level, Alison has worked for both academic and non-profit organizations conducting research related to child development and well-being.  She currently serves as a member of the Leadership Team for the Comox Valley Early Years Collaborative, and is involved in community-wide initiatives to support childhood well-being in the Comox Valley. Originally from the Midwestern United States, Alison is happy to call Vancouver Island home.
